Determination of Quality Value of Cotton Fiber Using Integrated Best-Worst Method-Revised Analytic Hierarchy Process

Selection of cotton fibers in terms their quality value has created a domain emerging interest among the researchers. In this study, newly developed Best-Worst Method (BWM) was integrated with Revised Analytic Hierarchy Process (RAHP) to rank fiber lots on basis six apposite properties namely bundle tenacity, elongation, micronaire, upper half mean length, uniformity index, and short index. Ranking performance approach closely resembles those other multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approaches. No occurrence reversal during sensitivity analyses corroborates stability robustness BWM-RAHP method. Uniqueness present study lies fact that is maiden application vector-based BWM approach, uses fewer pairwise comparisons than variants MCDM, grading problem. The RAHP adds decision model by overcoming problem ranking inconsistency. Rank correlations between based yarn tenacity are also encouraging, further bolster efficacy
